Craig Saxer

Craig Thomas Saxer, 55, of Coventry, formerly of Rocky Hill, died suddenly Saturday, (May 27, 2006) at home. Craig was born November 22, 1950 in Erie, PA, son of the late George P. Saxer and Edith Saxer White. He was a resident of Rocky Hill for many years before moving to Coventry five months ago. Craig was a graduate of Queensbury High School in Glenns Falls, NY and received his BA from the University of Vermont. He had been employed by Mass Mutual Insurance Company as a claims advertiser. Craig was an avid runner and enjoyed reading, writing, music, and movies. He was so excited to have his own home where he could enjoy his new dog and his beloved cat. Craig is survived by his mother, Edith Saxer White and stepfather Harry White; a sister Shelley Hunt and her husband Martin Abelkop; his sisters-in-law Elizabeth Ann Rainey, three nieces, Jennifer, Emily, and Maggie and two nephews, Logan and Silas. Family was important to him and they will truly miss him. He was predeceased by his father George P. Saxer and his brother P. Dale Saxer. A funeral service will be held Saturday June 3 at 2 p.m. at the Coventry Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tnpk., Coventry. Calling Hours will be from 1-2 p.m. just prior to the service. Burial will be private in Jericho, VT. Memorial contributions may be made in Craig's name to the American Heart Association.
