We appreciate those who ordered HTC gear. Most of it is here along with extra stock for those who did not order. You can order available items here.
At the Quarter Marathon March 31st, you can do it the “brick and mortar” way (the stock will be there).
Bear in mind a few points about the Quarter Marathon. Although the race is not full, it will probably reach the field limit – register soon or you could
be shut out. “On-site” parking will be full – get there early so you can park about one-half mile from the party or park at the UCONN Health Center
where a shuttle bus will take you all the way to (and from) the party (portolets, number pick up, start, finish, food and awards). More volunteers
make a better race and if you are there you can see many other HTC members.
Our bus to the Boston Marathon is full and there is a waiting list. If you do not have a confirmed seat you are on the bubble.
The CT road grand prix moves on with the New Haven WPLR 5K March 4th and the Danbury Half Marathon April 1st. If you are not sure of your
USATF membership you can confirm it at www.usatf.org or contact me.
Pre-registration is required by March 15th for both the USATF Indoor Track Meet at Yale on the 18th and the June 16th Mt. Washington Road Race.
Daylight Time (Spring ahead) begins March 11th and our Farmington Avenue Reservoir runs resume March 22nd.
Congratulations and a big thank you to Rick Konon and his great volunteers for his wildly successful 20th Colchester Half Marathon. As I ran it this
year everything was right from my perspective – organized registration, sufficient, indoor facilities, clearly marked miles, lots of course marshals
and fluid stop people, fast results and a great feast. Apparently a few other people hoped for some of the same things, because there were 625
finishers.
Your health is first and last – maintain it.
